About Goldens of Silver Star
Our Story
We are a family-owned and operated breeder in the Portland, Oregon and Southwest Washington area. Our passion for Golden Retrievers started when we got our first Golden and fell in love with their loyal, friendly nature, darling faces, and beautiful coats. Since then, we have been dedicated to breeding healthy and happy Golden Retrievers for families to enjoy.

Our Breeding Process
We take great pride in our breeding process, which starts with carefully selecting our breeding pairs. We only breed Goldens that meet our high standards for health, temperament, and conformation. Our Goldens are raised in a loving and nurturing environment and receive regular veterinary care and socialization.
We have been feeding our Lady whole food (real food) nutrition in addition to kibble during her pre-conception and pregnancy time. We believe in real foods to be the most nourishing. Additionally, we avoid chemicals in our home as much as possible, and with our dogs, ie using natural flea repellant and dog shampoo.
Our Puppies
Puppies mirror the health status and temperments of their parents, so we carefully select Dams and Sires.
HEALTH: Our current litter is out of Lady, a medium golden with light feathering who scored double clears on all genetic testing, Good hips and normal elbows. The sire is Ember, a dark golden, also with double clear genetic testing, Good hips, and normal elbows. Both parents have champion show dogs in their lineage, as well as field dogs. This pedigree offers beauty and conformity, as well as athleticism and agility, and a blend of energy and chill vibes.
TEMPERMENT: Lady has a sweet personality, attentive, well mannered, obedient to her masters, always a friendly wag and gentle lean for any family or friends who stoop to pet her. Ember is loyal and alert to commands; his puppies have historically been easy to train as they are so smart.
Adoption Process
Current Litter: due April 2024, puppies ready to go home the last week of June, 2024.

We will contact you to confirm your place on the waitlist and receive the deposit of $250 which will go toward adoption fee. You can follow our Instagram for timely updates as the pups are born, and we will then schedule puppy meeting appointments for 6-8-24 where you meet and confirm your choice. Go home day is 6-22-24.
